Crypto Is Learning New Languages

The growing popularity of BNB Chain has drawn attention not only to the network itself, but also to the tokens being launched on it. And some of those tokens have names that are quite unusual for the crypto world.

On four.meme — a platform where many BEP-20 meme tokens are born — it’s becoming common to see tokens with Chinese names. Some of them have already gained enough traction to reach the top-1000 cryptocurrencies by market cap (like 客服小何 and 哈基米). One token, 币安人生, even made it into the top-300 on CoinMarketCap.

Since these tokens have no Latin-character names at all, exchanges and data aggregators list them under their original Chinese names.

I’d call this a new step in crypto evolution — one that’s not technological or economic, but cultural.

Why did we all decide that every cryptocurrency must have a Latin-letter name? Crypto users exist all over the world — including in countries where Latin letters aren’t used at all!

By the way, rabbit.io is available in nine languages, four of which don’t use the Latin alphabet: Russian, Hindi, Chinese, and Korean. So why should all 10,000+ cryptocurrencies available on our platform have names written only in Latin script?

The tokens 客服小何, 哈基米, and 币安人生 aren’t yet available for exchange on rabbit.io. While their market caps are growing, their liquidity outside a few niche platforms remains limited. But once there’s real demand for swaps — we’ll definitely add them.

And honestly, I think names like these will look perfectly natural on our multilingual site.

So… who’s next? Maybe we’ll soon see crypto tokens named in other languages — not just Chinese?
