Trump is immortalized on the Bitcoin blockchain

An account on X called CollectTrumpCards announced the release of President Trump's Official Digital Trading Cards. These cards are issued as Inscriptions - entries on the Bitcoin blockchain.

This means 160 different images of Donald Trump are now permanently recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain. Someone spent an entire bitcoin on transaction fees just to inscribe them there. And now, every Bitcoin full node operator will have to store these images on their hard drives forever.

It’s only a matter of time before ambitious and vain individuals decide to outdo Trump by inscribing even more images of themselves into the most valuable blockchain. A competition could emerge: who can inscribe the most? And to do that, they'll all need bitcoins to pay miners for recording their images on the blockchain.

This could very well become a new source of sustainable demand for bitcoins. So, are we to-the-mooning soon?
