Today there’s a lot of buzz around the claim that the “team page” has disappeared from the homepage of World Liberty Financial. Evergreen says it used to feature photos of Donald Trump and his sons, which are now gone - leading to speculation that the team is trying to distance itself from the conflict-of-interest controversy.
I checked the Wayback Machine and looked through snapshots of the WLFI homepage across different dates. I couldn’t find any photos of Trump or his sons, but I did notice something else:
In other words, the trend looks exactly the opposite: over time, Trump is mentioned more and more on the WLFI homepage. There are no photos - that part is true. But where’s the objective proof that they were ever there? The Wayback Machine doesn’t capture every single change to a page, so it’s possible something was missed.
Maybe it’s time to put not just money on the blockchain, but official information about companies as well - so that changes can be tracked as easily as crypto transactions. Crypto companies like WLFI could set the standard for how this might work. That way, situations like this wouldn’t turn into confusion.
