The price of $AIXBT has surpassed $0.92, meaning it now costs over $550,000 to access AIXBT's internal terminal.
For those unfamiliar: AIXBT operates in two modes: as a bot on X that evaluates the crypto market, and as a “terminal” with just one stated difference:
The sole purpose of $AIXBT tokens is access to the terminal. Users unsatisfied with the bot’s free functionality can buy 600,000 $AIXBT tokens to unlock the terminal. That’s it - no other utility exists for these tokens.
Are people really willing to spend such a sum for a full-version AI agent? Hard to believe, especially considering AIXBT's Terms and Conditions, which repeatedly disclaim any responsibility, state that responses are not financial advice, and so on.
I doubt this access is worth the cost, and the current $AIXBT price feels like a discredit to the idea of AI agents using their own tokens. Speculators can drive token prices so high they lose their utility entirely.
This brings to mind the OpenAgents project, which develops AI agents accepting payments in Bitcoin. Bitcoin isn’t cheap either, but it’s far less susceptible to speculative manipulation like this.
